Free Motion Machine Quilting with Allan: Level 1-2

Free motion 1Are you frustrated with free motion quilting or are you just scared to try it on your own? Join our special guest instructor Allan for a day to solve your machine quilting problems! He is a machine quilting expert who has many years of experience in the sewing industry and who is currently a Baby Lock dealer in Red Deer, AB. He services all makes and models of sewing machines, so he knows how to help you handle your machine and to make the most of your free motion quilting skills. In this class, sewing machine basic maintenance in touched upon, along with an explanation of how a sewing machine works. The science of machine needles, thread selection and differences, and thread control will give you the knowledge you need to handle those many quilt tops. Allan will provide inspiration as you learn 4 basic patterns, stitch length management and quilting combinations to let you quilt like a pro! Kit included.

This is the class for people afraid of their embroidery machines!

Roses and lace embellish this beautiful table runner that is completely made by machine! Get your embroidery machines out and learn from an expert how to properly use hoops and how to set multiple designs. The cost includes everything to complete this runner, except your fancy machine! This class is suitable for anyone who is intimidated by their embroidery machine. Limited space available.

Machine Maintenance

This is an excellent class for anyone who owns a sewing machine, new or old! Learn from a sewing machine expert how to care for your machine and how to work out any problems you may be having with thread breakage, tensions, needles, and quality of stitching. Precise information about needle size and type in relation to thread type is provided. Find out exactly how your sewing machine works. Bring a notebook and a friend and get your questions answered!
